The Ultimate Running Holiday Giftaway
Somewhere along the way, the holidays across our nation have become synonymous with never-ending to-do lists, jam-packed mall parking lots, technology-laden wish lists and stress. When I think about the holidays, there are really just two things that are most important to me: spending time with loved ones and showing my gratitude to all the people I care deeply about.
Running has given me so much – lifelong friends, strength, confidence, life lessons, perspective and so much more. When I think about all of you in the running community, whether you’re just starting out or have been running for years, I’m truly overwhelmed with gratitude. We teach each other so much, we lift each other up, we inspire each other.
This month, I’m giving away a boatload of incredible running goodies just in time for the holidays from some amazing companies as my way to say thank you and help you kick off 2015 with good health and running.
There will be two winners. Here’s what you have the chance to win.
Grand Prize Winner #1: The Rock ‘n’ Roller
2 free entries to any Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon Series race of your choice + one free hotel night from Competitor Group
Since I seriously began running endurance races in 2009, I have run 6 Rock ‘n’ Roll races, including Seattle, New Orleans, Las Vegas, Savannah and St. Pete. These races hold some of my most cherished running memories, and no other race series puts on a better race weekend and expo or makes you feel more like a rock star than Rock ‘n’ Roll. What better way to start your New Year than by picking one of their races in North America to set a goal for 2015? The estimated retail value is $520, although it will vary based on race selection.
Grand Prize Winner #2: The Lucky Runner (Yes, you win everything listed below)
Winter running goodies from Brooks Running, including a PureProject Warmer, gloves, hat/head band AND arm warmers
It’s no secret that I love Brooks Running. I’m one of their Run Happy ambassadors and almost every running item I wear and race in is Brooks. I love everything about the company, their focus on running/runners and their products. With winter upon us, the winner will receive 4 winter running accessories from Brooks, including: 1) a PureProject Warmer, 2) an Infiniti Head Band or hat of choice for men, 3) a pair of Utopia Softshell Gloves and 4) a pair of Utopia Arm Warmers. These are some of my favorite must-have winter items.
The PureProject warmer is a cool new piece from Brooks that keeps your neck warm while also doubling as a stylish accessory for wearing around town. For the ladies, it can even be worn around the hips which I think is super cool for those days you’re feeling a little self-conscious or just want some extra fashion. The gloves are the bomb. They fit amazing, keep your hands warm and also have a touch pad on the fingertips to allow you to use your phone without taking your gloves off. The Infiniti Head Band is something I never leave home without during cold months. I wear it under my visor to keep my ears warm. It comes in lots of fun colors. Finally, as someone who overheats easily, Brooks’ Utopia Arm Warmers are exceptional to keep you warm without all the extra layers or bulk. Pick from a fabulous selection of colors to match your mood and running wardrobe. The estimated retail value for these items is $140.
2 Pairs of Feetures! Socks (1 pair of Elite socks and 1 pair of Elite Merino+ socks)
As runners, we talk a lot about shoes, but socks are equally as important when it comes to comfort and avoiding blisters. The winner will receive 2 pairs of Feetures! socks, including a pair of their Elite socks and a pair of their Elite Merino+ socks. Feetures! uses targeted compression and a design that enhances fit and comfort while eliminating rubbing. They also use iWick fibers that wick moisture to keep feet cool and dry. I love the Elite Merino+ socks when I’m running on trails or in the winter to keep my feet warm. I also like that they have cushioning in high impact areas on the foot to add extra support. The retail value is $31.
$50 gift card from Runner’s Connect
Runner’s Connect is a team of expert coaches and fellow runners who provide coaching services and support to runners of every ability, everywhere. The company was founded in 2011 by Jeff Gaudette who wanted to bring more support to the running community. Runner’s Connect consists of 7 coaches, a team doctor, writers, a nutritionist and 600 members of the running community. Their offerings include training schedules, personal coaching, strength training guidance, nutrition guidance and improving form. I’m currently taking their marathon nutrition course which is designed to help me calculate my exact fueling needs and develop an even deeper understanding of marathon nutrition. The winner will receive a $50 gift card good for helping you achieve your training goals in 2015! I love that this company is also super supportive on social media! The retail value is $50.
Duffel Pack from Apera Bags
Last year, I started using Apera Bags’ Performance Duffel Bag, and I fell in love with it and the people that work at the company. This holiday, I’m giving the winner a Duffel Pack, which is an advanced back pack for runners and athletes. As a self-proclaimed unladylike (and often stinky) runner, I love that all of Apera’s bags have antimicrobial protection inside and out. The Duffel Pack has 2 separate storage areas, ventilated compartments and wipeable linings for the days you’re throwing wet clothes, dirty shoes and smelly socks in your bag. There are also flexible water bottle pockets on the outside and great inside compartments. You can learn more about the bag and see a video on how it works here. The retail value is $119.
Personal running safety prize pack from SABRE
I recently wrote about how much I like SABRE and its personal safety products for runners. The winner will receive the ultimate safety prize pack from SABRE, including pepper spray for runners that straps onto your fist while running, a personal alarm that is amazing and makes a loud sound to dissuade potential attackers, practice spray so you can learn how to use your pepper spray safely and dog spray to protect animals. Running safety is so important, and these are my favorite personal products to help us stay safe on the run. This prize pack retails at $40.
An Embrace the Hill tank top or T-shirt of your choice from Run Far Girl
Sarah Canney from Run Far Girl is one of my favorite runners and such a wonderful person and friend. This year, she launched a clothing line inspired by the idea that we have to embrace hills in running and in life to get stronger. The idea was inspired by the struggles Sarah has overcome in her own life, including a long journey with an eating disorder and a child born with a rare birth condition. A portion of the proceeds also benefit the Children’s Hospital of Dartmouth. The winner will be able to select either an Embrace the Hill tank top or T-shirt of their choice based on available sizes and colors. The retail value is $20.
2 Tubes of Portland Bee Balm
I love supporting small businesses, and this is definitely an awesome one! Portland Bee Balm is a Portland-based company owned by a couple named Brad and Anika who have been beekeeping as a hobby for many years. Brad’s love of honey bees sparked their lip balm, which is developed with social and environmental values. Portland Bee Balm is made with wax from northwest Oregon hives and just organic cold pressed extra virgin coconut oil, organic California extra virgin olive oil and Oregon peppermint oil. That’s it! They come in original and Oregon Mint (my favorite), and the packaging is so cool as it looks like they are wrapped in wood. The Portland Bee Balm team sent me several tubes earlier this year, and Mr. rUnladylike has already stolen 2 of them. This would make a great stocking stuffer for the holidays! The winner will receive one tube of each flavor. The retail value is $5.97.
Mamma Chia Energy Drink sampler pack
It seems like health enthusiasts everywhere have gone ga-ga for chia seeds. I include them in my post-workout smoothies all the time. Mamma Chia has introduced the first chia-based energy drink – Chia Energy Beverage – which combines chia with guayusa (gwhy-you-sa). According to Mamma Chia, one 10-ounce bottle is 120 calories and delivers more than an entire day’s worth of Omega-3s (2500 mg), 25 percent of one’s daily fiber (6 grams), 4 grams of complete protein, 90 mg of natural caffeine (about as much in an 8 oz. cup of coffee) and calcium, antioxidants and minerals. I like that this drink is organic, non-GMO verified and gluten-free. It comes in 4 flavors (which the winner will get to try): Blackberry Blast, Cherry Charge, Raspberry Razz and Grape Power. The sampler pack retails at $12.

What is your running or health/fitness goal for 2015 (you must leave a comment answering this question to be eligible to win.)
Comments
2015 is my year to focus on strength training along with my normal miles to reach some big dream goals I have for myself!
My big running goal for 2015 is to go sub-2 in the half distance!
Woo hoo Allison! You’ve got this! Can’t wait to see you crush it in 2015! xo
in 2015 I want to complete my second half marathon, and possibly my 3rd!
Yay Emily! Awesome goals. I know you will do it! Good luck! xo
Thank you!!
My goal is to become a better swimmer!
I ran my 2nd marathon on 11/15/14 injured. Today I finally go diagnosed with a pelvic stress fracture which now puts me out of 2 races and puts the Hot Chocolate 15K and Mercedes Half in doubt. 2014 was plagued by injuries. For 2015, I’d want to be healthy enough (barring those 2 runs) to run and lift weights to get stronger to prevent these injuries.
Allison, I’m so, so sorry to hear about your stress fracture. Taking time off is really hard, but it is necessary to come back stronger and not do permanent damage. I hope you heal quickly and have a wonderful running career ahead of you. Focusing on getting healthy is an awesome goal for the New Year. I will be thinking about you. xo
I want to start a habit of walking with my dogs every morning. My big 2015 goals are centered around strength (in addition to maintaining my miles): be able to do a handstand and a pull up, build leg strength, etc.
I love those goals Audrey! I still want to be able to do 3 pull ups in a row unassisted (I’m no where close to that!). Pull ups are so hard. You’ve got this! xo
This is such an amazing giveaway and you are so generous to do something on this level. Sometimes we forget what Christmas is all about.
My goal for 2015 is to go into my first Ironman strong, healthy, and the fittest I have ever been
Thank you for entering Maddison and for your kind words. My favorite thing about the holidays is giving back (whether with time, thought, gifts, etc.). I never feel like I can fully express my gratitude for all the amazing people I’m surrounded by (real and virtually). Good luck with your first Ironman! What an amazing accomplishment. I got to spectate at my first Ironman this year and it was amazing. I am so excited for you to experience what I watched so many athletes feel as they crossed that finish line. xoxo
What a great giveaway Jesica! Awesome! Thanks for including Runners Connect, I am excited to hear how you get on with the course! Will be great for you to put your knowledge to the test at boston! My goal for 2015 is to ENJOY my running, let my goals just happen, rather than specifics 🙂
I can’t wait to see what you will do next year Tina, especially with that mindset. I love learning from you and reading about your adventures. Thank YOU so much for allowing Runner’s Connect to be part of the giveaway and help another runner reach their goals. Here’s to a wonderful 2015. xoxo
My goal for 2015 is to go head to head with my husband in Ironman Chattanooga. We are both already signed up!
AWESOME Lauran!!! I can’t wait to hear how it goes! I got to spectate there this year and it was incredible!!! Good luck with your training.
This is an incredible giveaway! In August, I kicked off a mission to run a race in all 50 states in honor of my little sister Taylor, who once ran two 5K races despite losing her vision to a fatal brain disorder called Batten disease. My fitness goal for 2015 is to maintain my health throughout an ambitious race schedule that will take me from Virginia to Hawaii while setting a few PRs, having a wonderful time and raising awareness of Batten disease.
So, so amazing Laura! I have loved following your journey and I can’t wait to profile you and share your story when you reach your goals. Thinking about you and your sister. xoxo
what an awesome giveaway! My running goal is to run a sub-2 hour half!
Greaet goal Mar! You will rock it! Happy running! Thanks for reading and entering!
My goal for 2015 – shaving 8 minutes off my marathon time to *Finally* get a BQ. Without getting injured of course! My slightly more controllable goal is nutrition: eating within 30 minutes of running and making sure to eat enough calories during training!
I love your nutrition goal, Laura. It is such an important one and will help you recover better for your next workout/run. I didn’t think it was possible to shave 9 minutes off my marathon time this year to BQ, and I did. Which means you can too! Good luck in 2015 and beyond. Thanks for reading and entering. xo
2015 is my year to JUST RUN and enjoy every minute without worrying about time. distance, or PRs 🙂
What an awesome giveaway!! You rock!
Thank you Amy! That is MY goal too this year! Yay! xo
My 2015 goal is to run (and survive) my first marathon! Great prizes!
Yay for your first marathon Jenn! Can’t wait to see where they journey takes you! xo
My #1 health and fitness goal in 2015 is to run a PR in my second full marathon while remaining injury free! I want to put in a lot of hard work this spring and summer and see it PAY OFF this fall!
There is nothing better than seeing hard work pay off Kristina! I know you will do it! Good luck with your training (and the sweepstakes!).
My goal this year is to run a sub 3:50 marathon.
Great goal! You’ve got this!!!
My goal for 2015 is to remain injury free and complete Augusta 70.3!
Yay for no injuries and Augusta! I did the race in 2012 and really enjoyed the experience. If you have any questions about it, feel free to send me an email at runladylike@gmail.com. You can also find my race recap and report on the bike course on the blog. Good luck with your training next year! xo
My goal is to keep running consistently and break a 2:00 half!
Woot woot! Consistency brings big results. Good luck Emily!
My goal for 2015 is to run a sub 2 half marathon and increase my lean muscle mass!!! Want to get stronger!
I know you will do it Ruthie! Stronger and faster for the win! xo
To Boston Qualify!
Yay Colleen! If I can do it, you can do it! I finally qualified during my 8th marathon this year. My goal is now to get in and hope I qualified by enough time. Fingers crossed I’ll see you at Boston in 2016. xo
My goal for 2015 is to break 2 hours in a half marathon, and to run an ultra distance race!
Great goals!!! Thanks for sharing them with me and good luck with your training!
My goal for 2015 is to start back running slowly (I just had a baby!) and to run a half marathon in the fall. Not a PR but a solid effort. 🙂
Congrats on your new baby! So exciting. I think your goal is great to start back slow and get back into the swing of things! Any stroller running for you?
We do have a jogging stroller but won’t be able to use it until baby is 6 months for head control/safety reasons. So starting in May I’ll be able to get out with the stroller for runs!
My goal for 2015 is to run a marathon!
My goal for 2015 is to break 20:00 in the 5k!
That is a goal I have too! Let’s do it! xo
My goal is to complete an Olympic distance triathlon on my way to a half ironman!!!
Yay! Great goals! I hope you enjoy the longer distance triathlons.
Looking forward to a sub-2 half and a PR in the Utica Boilermaker!
This would be amazing! I’ve just started training for my first half marathon!
Congrats on training for your first half Parker! That is awesome. Let me know if you have any questions. xo
My goal is to run a half marathon and try to stay injury free while training!
Wow! What an incredible giveaway. Thank you so much for coordinating. This is one of the best I’ve seen.
I have a few goals for 2015 – to achieve a sub-30:00 5K (which would be very fast for me), to PR my next half marathon, and to run my first full marathon. This coming year will be one of consistency and dedication.
I want to run under 3:45 in a marathon. And stay healthy all year!
Definitely to PR in the marathon (it’s my second Boston/second marathon ever!), and to run uninjured and healthy while doing so!
2015 Goal- find and run two great half marathons, and pr in at least one of them!
My 2015 goal is to complete a half marathon fully prepared. No skipped weeks from the training plan, no pregnancies along the way, no ER visits the night before the race. Just a drama-free, well trained for half marathon. 🙂
My big 2015 goal is to break 3:10 in the marathon and have a blast while doing it! That means enjoying every run and the people I am doing it with-taking the good and bad workouts, and celebrating the little accomplishments.
My fitness goal is to complete my 4th half marathon (I started training for my first right before we met) and my A goal for that race is to hit under 2 hours for the first time.
What a great giveaway! In 2015, I want to up my running from 3x/week to 4-5x/week, and spend less money on running gear!
After being injured for the last part of 2014 (following my best-ever marathon training season!), my goal is simply to get back to long distance running…and finally get my sub-1:45 half marathon time!
I want to run a half marathon in under 1:40!
My goal for 2015 is to go sub 3 hours on the bike leg of my 1/2 Ironman and to qualify for Boston in the Savannah Rock and Roll Marathon. I know I can do both – just have to put my mind to it! Yowzers – writing those down makes me really nervous!! Thanks for the awesome giveaway!!
My 2015 goal is to take it easy getting back to running and have my first race be in the fall for a starting point and then train hard all winter. I’m expecting baby #2 in the spring so end of summer/fall running si what i’m looking forward to most!
Thanks for doing this!
Paris 2015 is my first goal. Last year after I finished NYC I decided that big, amazing, historic runs were my focus. So Paris first seems perfect. I’ll do some other things along the way and after (like hike the Grand Canyon) but Paris is the aim…
My goal is to have fun!
In 2015, I would like to get below 2:00 for the half marathon!
My fitness goal for 2015 is to complete the AZ RnR half marathon in January and at least a few more later in the year. I want to feel healthy and fit!
My goal for 2015 is to finish my Cleveland half marathon in 2:15 or less!!!
I plan to run two marathons, participate in one Xterra and finish my first 24 hour mountain bike race!!!
I ran my 1st half in November at RNR Savannah “loved it” and just did my second half this past weekend! Addicted! My goal is to run at least two more half marathons in 2015. Another goal is to work on my time, I want to come in under 2 hrs.
Amazing! I want to do Vegas RnR this year, and would love all the cold weather stuff to keep me running outside through the St. Louis winter.
My 2015 fitness goal is to stop being afraid of racing. I love running so much but I choke at races, letting my fear of burning out hold back my pace too much. I want to test my limits and stop being afraid to fail.
Dear Jessica,
Thank you for being such a generous individual and for sharing throughout the years…your adventures, thoughts, experiences, advice, set-backs and victories!
My goal for 2015 is a BQ. (Same goal as the past 5 years, slowly chipping at my time from 1 hour away in my first marathon down to 1:46min away this year 🙂
Who knows, it might take me another 5 years to finally make it, but I learned from you that “the difference between the impossible and the possible lies in our determination”.
Thanks again!
I wish you the best in 2015! 🙂
Thank you for your very kind words Tatiana! I’m glad that you know that your big goals are POSSIBLE! You will get that BQ! I hope you’ll keep me posted on what the year holds for you. Good luck! xoxo
My goal for the first half of 2015 is to have another successful marathon training season and run a sub-3:00 marathon!!!
My 2015 goal is to qualify for the Boston Marathon!!
My goal is to run a 4:30 marathon!
At Jan 10 half marathon, I hope to PR – would be happy with sub 2 hours but really hoping to run less than 1:50. If not in Jan, will try again in May! Thanks for sharing your stories on running – you are highly motivating to me and have helped me believe I can aim for faster times than I used to think possible for me.
My main running goals for 2015 will be a marathon PR and a half marathon PR. I’d also like to PR at least one other distance and run 1,800 or more miles for the year.
My goal for 2015 is to bounce back after having my baby and run a half…maybe a full!
My goal for 2015 is to train and finish Ironman AZ injury free!
My goal is to run stronger this year by incorporating speed work and strength training in a consistent way.
What a fun giveaway! My goal for 2015? Improve my half marathon time and run sub-2!
Super fun giveaway!!! My big goals are: PR the half marathon distance and half iron distance!! Bring on 2015!! Can’t wait!
I think my biggest goal for 2015 is to be consistent throughout the year and try to run for fun and not get so caught up in the mentality that every race or run has to be my best one. I also want to run the Marine Corps Marathon so that is a biggie as far as goals too!
Great giveaway – what an awesome way to start 2015!!
I just need to start running again and build up my stamina from being ill for months.
i want to run a sub 2 half! Great giveaway!
My main goal every year is to have an injury free year of running, didn’t make it last year due to a sprained pinkie toe that sidelined me for a couple months. But it was still a great running year since I completed my first 1/2 marathon. I’m hoping to improve upon my half finishing time in 2015 and break 1:50!
In 2015 I want to increase my mileage…and hopefully complete my second 1/2 and first full! Awesome give away!
My big goal for 2015 is to train my butt off for Boston while staying injury free. What a great giveaway!
My goals for 2015 are to help newbies succeed in sports, represent Team Podium with character and hard work, and help my daughter learn to ride a bike so she can join me at the 2015 24 Hours of Booty charity bike ride to raise money in support of childhood cancer research.
I’ve run 4 half marathons. I’ve let fear and excuses stand in my way for a lot, including running a full. In 2015 I want to conquer 26.2.
Sub 2 hour half and sub 5 marathon!!! Awesome giveaway!!!
After having to drop out of the Marine Corps Marathon this year due to a knee injury, I’m hoping to complete my first full marathon next fall and stay injury free!
I am running my first Marathon in 2015! I want to finish running! I also want to be able to run my first sub-2 half and help some running friends of mine through their first!! I also want to be able to break 25 minutes in my 5k. This is my least favorite race and it just really gets me that I haven’t been able to do that yet!!!!
My goal is a sub-2 half marathon. I consistently run just over 2 hours and I think this is my year!
I plan to complete a season injury free.
My goal is to honestly get back into running and find my groove again. Then hopefully go sub 30 in the 5k… I’m also loving the idea of a trail race or two:)
My goals for 2015 are running my second half marathon and running my first marathon. I am definitely running the Kentucky Derby Half and am looking at Chicago, MCM, or Rock N Roll Las Vegas for the marathon. I am so excited!
I’m so excited for you Ann! I have run all those marathons and you really can’t go wrong with any of them. I would probably recommend Chicago for your first time but I am biased because that was my first marathon and also where I BQed. MCM is a must-do experience, and Vegas is lots of fun, but since it is at night you may want a morning race for your first one. Good luck!!!
My goal for 2015 is to maintain my running fitness where it is. We are planning to build a house next year and I know it is going to be a crazy, stressful year.
ready to focus on the half marathon next year and hopefully at 1:40
You will do it Amanda! I know you will crush anything you set your mind to! xo
I’ve been slacking too much lately, and in 2015 I’d like to:
1) Finish a half marathon in under 1:30, and
2) Get back to the point where I can go run 20 miles without any prep or pre-planning. Just wake up and if I feel like running 20 miles, be able to do it.
my goal for 2015 is to complete my first half ironman!
My goals for 2015 are
1. To Better fuel my body so I’m setting a better example for my kids.
2. Try a Sprint tri. The tri big bit me in 2014, so I want to improve upon my Super Sprint experiences and move up to a Sprint distance event.
Awesome goals Olivia!
In 2015 I would like to do a destination race – preferable West Coast or out of country.
Run my first marathon and 10K PR 🙂
My goal is to run healthy and have fun with it!
Stay healthy and run a sub-3 hour marathon.
Awesome goal Will! Good luck with your training!
I want to curb my sweet tooth and run the Nike women’s half marathon!
Paige, If you figure out how to get rid of your sweet tooth, let me know. I have the same tragic sweet tooth. LOL! Good luck at Nike! xo
Whoa! This is the give away of all give aways! LOVE IT.
I wanna BQ or get as close as possible!
You and me, Boston 2016. Let’s do it. 🙂 xo
My running goal I most want to accomplish in 2015 is Ragnar Cape Cod. It will be my first relay and it is a bucket list item for me 🙂
That sounds like an amazing race. I’ve only done one Ragnar but it was part of their trail series. I’d love to do another one some day … maybe Zion 🙂
Amazing giveaway! My goal is to BQ in 2015. I’m a minute away so I know I can do it!
You SO have this Lauren. You did amazing in Chicago and I can’t wait to see you crush it in 2015! xo
I would LOVE to see a 1 as the first number of a half marathon. 1:59:59 would totally work for me.
You’ve got this Bari! Sub-2 here you come! xo
My 2015 goal is to qualify for Boston! I have 10 minutes to take off of my PR.
My running goal for 2015 is to get back in running shape!! I had a baby in June and am still struggling to get back on track and maintain a regular running schedule.
My 2015 goal is getting closer to a Boston qualification on my 2nd marathon.
My 2015 goal is to get my miles back! I worked so incredibly hard in 2013 and made really big goals in 2014 to PR in every distance and run my first marathon. I achieved every PR by March 2014 and signed up for my first marathon November 2014. In April, I completely tore my ACL and headed in for knee reconstruction and a long journey in rehab. Now, 6 months later, I’m hoping to finally get back to running, becoming stronger than ever, and building back up to where I left off – and finally running that marathon!
marathon PR!
26.2 in 2015! I can’t wait! It’s my first full!!!!
Yay Christina! I’m so excited for you and your first marathon! Good luck. I hope you enjoy the experience.
I want to run a marathon!
With all my training in 2014 focused on IMLP, I want to focus more on my speed in 2015. I would like to run a sub-2 hour marathon either at Raleigh 70.3 or in a stand alone 13.1. I have done it in training, but I want to make it “official”! GREAT give aways!!!!!
I am going to train for my first marathon in 2015.
2015 will be the year that I embrace the pain during races and think positively about the training I’ve put in. I’ve struggled with mental toughness during races, and its time that I push the negativity aside and truly accomplish what I am capable of.
Awesome, awesome goal. I love it! Getting comfortable with being uncomfortable is a game-changer. xo
For 2015 I want to run another marathon and for the first time a sprint triathlon with my 16 year old daughter!!
That would be so special to race with your daughter! Wishing you both an amazing 2015!
First and foremost, I want to be injury free in 2015. I had an injury prevent me from running a full this fall, and so I need to take the necessary steps to keep those injuries away. Breaking 2 hours in the half would be my next goal, unless that somehow happens this weekend.
Good luck at your race this weekend! I’ll keep my fingers crossed for you! xo
My goal is to work hard after my daughter is born in January to get back to my old fitness self. I have signed up for an B2B Half Ironman (my second)! It will take a lot of work but hopefully I will be up for the challenge!
Congrats on the arrival of your soon to be little one, Britton. That is so exciting! I did B2B last year and really, really liked it. Since it is later in the season you should have time to get back in shape. So excited for you! You will do great. xo
My goal first and foremost is to not get injured. If I do that and continue with current training, I believe that everything else such as getting my half time under 1:50 will fall into place. I would rather be healthy and miss that goal by a bit than get injured and face starting over from the beginning. Merry X-mas, Jesica!
Very smart perspective Richard. I hope you have a wonderful holiday! xo
Sub 2:10 half
My goal is to finally conquer a pull up and I am seriously considering doing a 1/2 tri in May of 2015 – depends on if I get a bike for christmas or if the tri will be my 2016 goal
My 2015 goal is to just ROCK the LA Marathon – it’s only full #2 but I’m ready to roll! 🙂 And I think I’d like to try a tri…
My big goal is to run healthfully and with joy.
Thanks for this giveaway! I’m hoping to run another half marathon this year. Maybe Thanksgiving in Atlanta.
The Atlanta Thanksgiving race is a fun (hilly) one. Good luck with your training!
My big goals for 2015 are to reach my weight loss goals and run another half marathon — I’ve been injured for almost all of 2014, so at the very least I want to run ANY race, but a half is my ultimate goal. AMAZING giveaway, my friend!!! <3
Run my first 5k!
Hooray Ines! So exciting! You can do it!
What a kind and generous idea! My goal for 2015 is to FINALLY break 2 hours in a half marathon.
My biggest goal this year was to run a half marathon (I ran two). I was really hoping up step it up this fall and run a marathon, but unfortunately an injury kept me sidelined from training. For 2015 I would like to get back on track for the marathon and run the MCM for prostate cancer in honor of my dad and in memory of my grandpa. I also plan to do the Rock n Roll half in Dublin next year because my first half was the Rock n Roll USA and it was awesome!
Amazing goals and reasons behind them Erin. I have run 3 marathons for charity and in honor of loved ones and it makes the race so meaningful. And I am totally jealous of your Dublin race! I really want to run a marathon outside the US one day. Good luck with your training.
My main goal for the year is to break 1:50 in the half marathon. I’m currently signed up for 5 half marathons in 2015, so I’ll have plenty of chances 🙂
Wow! Sounds like you have an awesome race schedule on tap. Good luck breaking that 1:50 mark. I know you can do it!!!
for 2015 I want to begin training for my first marathon, now that I have a few half marathons under my belt!
My goals are to stay fit and healthy throughout my pregnancy and postpartum to get back into the sport I love (running)!
My goal for 2015 is to enjoy running the entire year. 2014 was rough on me physically and mentally, and I want to have a year in which I get stronger, faster, and happier with my running. I have a half marathon and an ultra on my race calendar so far for 2015!
Looking for a good reason to enter a Rock n Roll race again! I hope i win!
My goal for 2015 is to get stronger so that I can be injury free, or less injured this year. I had an amazing 2014 but was sidelined a few times with various injuries, so that stinks. I’d also LOVE to get under a 2 hour half marathon!
This year I concentrated on distance and ran my first half marathon. Next year I am hoping to increase speed.
Congrats on tackling your first half marathon Chaitali. Awesome accomplishment.
2014 was the year for a distance race (26.2) and I’m thinking that 2015 will be the year of the 5k. I haven’t decided for sure but actually training for a 5k instead of just adding one in while marathon training sounds good to me right now.
My goal is to run another half! I ran my first one this fall while pregnant, and it was rough. I want to have this baby and then run another!
Plan to run at least 1000 miles in 2015
Definitely would love to get back into running races…have been lax in this department since 2012.
My big goal for 2015 is to finally lose this weight and to PR in the 5K. My PR is almost 4 years (and 35 lbs less) old!
You’ve got this Rachel!!!
My goal for 2015 is to PR my marathon in February. I am also thinking of pacing my first marathon too!
That would be awesome to pace a race. I think that would make me more nervous than racing 🙂 Good luck with your great goals. xo
Finish a triathalon….
My goal is to continue to train injury free, and hit more than 1500+ miles!
In 2015, I’d love to be injury free, get a PR in my 3rd half and run under an hour in the 10K.
My 2015 goals are to: complete 6 half marathons and run a total of 750 miles
In 2015, hoping to repeat a very blessed 2014, my better half opened up here new small business, Mighty Aphrodite Maternity Consignment, got promoted at YMCA & is an awesome Ava Anderson Consultant, we managed to juggle the kids, jobs & still enjoyed our favorite local races, our Wednesday night Lynn Woods trail races during the spring & summer; hoping for more of the same, we wish you & yours a very happy new year and great 2015
Congrats to your family and to your wife. Sounds like it was a terrific 2014! Wishing you guys much continued happiness (and miles) in 2015! xo
train consistently and work on increasing my distances.
I’m hoping to stay healthy, that’s number one! I would like to set a marathon PR and continue to set a positive example for my two boys. I’ll be entering the masters division in May so I am pretty excited about that!
My goals are – stop skipping strength training, push harder on runs, and improve half marathon time.
My goals in 2015 are:
1) completing at least 10 races (5k or 10k)
2) improving my PB for 5k (run 5k in less then 26min)
3) learning how to do a handstand
4) meeting new people who enjoy active lifestyle
5) finding the right balance between work, sport and personal life 🙂
10 new states and PR the marathon!
Running 1000 miles in 2015
My 2015 goals are a sub-1:45 half marathon, to get my running coach certification, and to go from running 5 days a week to 6 days a week when training for a race!
My big goal for 2015 is to FINALLY break 3:10 in the marathon. I’ve run 3:13 three times, and I’m getting sick of that number!
Live in San Diego, volunteered for the Rock/roll last year, now I definitely want to run it this year
I’d like to continue to cut time off my miles and drop a few #s. Bring it 2015!!!!
Going to focus on a Paleo diet for 2015.
My goal for 2015 is to get better at balancing all three sports of triathloning durning training. And, I want to bring back speed and hill training into my running regiment.
My goal for 2015 is to do another triathlon.
My 2015 goal is to complete the Jungfrau Marathon, but I need to put all of my energy into strength training and preparing my mind for such a big challenge!
My 2015 goal is to complete my first marathon in May. I would love to complete this first marathon in under 5 hours, but just crossing the finishline is most important.
My goal is my second full marathon – which is a return to the scene of the crime (aka a terrible first full). Scheduled for March. I’m going to crush it this time!
What a great giveaway! Thank you for the opportunity!
My 2015 goal is to be more consistent with my running and to complete my first half marathon! I’m so excited to be working toward that goal!
My biggest 2015 goal is to run my very first Marathon!!!
I would love to do the savannah rock n roll half
my goal is to beat my half marathon time of 1:43 and hopefully do 1:40 or under!!
My first goal is to complete the Goofy Challenge at Disney in January (my 3rd full marathon). My second goal is to PR in the half marathon when I run RNR DC in March. My third goal is to run a fall marathon and to break 4:30.
Big goals for 2015!!!!
Going to do an Ironman! Can’t wait!
I’m registered for my 1st marathon in 2015. It’s my biggest fitness goal right now.
I want to qualify for the Boston Marathon!
In 2015, I’m aiming to complete my first half Ironman, and I want to get a new PR for a half marathon!
Thanks for the giveaway!!
I’d love to get below a 2:00 half marathon. I haven’t run one in a few years but my times are now on point to get below
I would like to transition from 5k’s to a half marathon.
I would love to run a 10k in 60 minutes or less. Have a great year!
My 2015 goal is to enjoy my running and to not put any pressure on myself.
I just ran my first marathon last weekend! I’m thinking tentatively about a fall marathon and shooting for 4 hours, which is in line with my PRs at other distances. In the spring, I’m hoping to run fast shorter races, including our mutually dreaded Publix half marathon! I’m going to avenge last year’s sufferfest 🙂
My goal is to get my marathon time under 3:27:55 because then I will have cut an entire hour off of my marathon time!
I have a couple goals for 2015: 1) to keep having fun with it, because that seems to be what’s bringing about my time goals! and 2) to complete my first half iron distance triathlon!
My biggest running goal is to get a 2:15 PR for the half marathon and take on my first marathon next Fall! (Oh. Em. Gee. – That sounds scary!).
I would love a new 5k PR in 2015!
My goal for 2015 is to keep up what I’m doing now — training smart and running with new friends who push me harder than I would push myself alone. I’m seeing great improvement and want to keep it up!
I always “hated” running since I was forced to do it on my high school basketball team. Just recently (now 26), I’ve gotten into yoga & strength training. I decided to also start running (something I never thought I would do). I am currently using the “couch to 5k” app to get myself into running shape. My ultimate goal for 2015 would be to run a half marathon! I have been on the lookout for the lottery to open for the Nike Women’s Half Marathon so I can register. If I register, I will have no choice but to stick with my running goals for the year. Winning this giveaway would be amazing, because I’ve heard great things about the Rock’n’Roll runs and it would give me all the motivation I need. I just started following your blog, and love it. Keep up the great work!!
I am running a marathon and March and have a big time goal that I am aiming for but also want to finish training and the race strong, happy, and injury-free.
I never thought I would say it, but my goal is to run a marathon! I didn’t think I would fall in love with running the way I have this year, and I cannot wait to see what next year will bring!
Successfully complete my first Ironman @ IM Chattanooga! And, figure out the reasons for my right leg pain & run painfree!
Not sure this posted before…first time reading the blog and I love it! 2015 goal is to BQ and run in 2016 for my 40th bday!!!
I’m running my first marathon in February! I had a rough start in training due to some personal issues but I’m getting in the groove. I can’t wait!
2014 was all about finishing my first marathon and ultra. 2015 is about Boston qualifying by Nov 2015.
I have a couple triathlons and maybe my second half marathon planned for 2015 but my big goal next year is to finish the year strong and healthy. I’ve had a few issues this year so I want to take the time next year to figure out what works for me so I can tackle my big scary goal in 2016 (70.3!).
Great giveaway! I ran two Rock’N’Rolls this year–and even upgraded myself to the VIP experience on one of them–which I would do again in a heartbeat. I am going to step back now and work on building my aerobic base with some low heart rate training for a while, as I hope that will be the key to my next steps.
Congrats on your race accomplishments this year Elena! You did awesome and I think stepping back a bit to refresh is a great idea. I also love the VIP experience RnR offers. I experienced it this year at the Seattle Rock ‘n’ Roll Half and really enjoyed it. Good luck in 2015! xo
My 1# fitness goal is unassisted pullups – feels like I’ve been stuck at the same point forever!
My goal is to get back into shape after having a baby this year!
I hope to complete my First Marathon in 2015!
My goal is to get stronger and tackle another marathon!
For 2014 my mom and I ran 14 half marathons so for 2015 we are looking at running 15 half marathons or possibly doing a smaller distance to work on speed instead. We have not 100% decided however we want a good challenge for the year!
Wow! Congrats to you and your mom. That is so special you guys can run together. Have a wonderful holiday and 2015!
Oh Jessica! This is an awesome give away for sure.. Looks like we are sharing goals for 2015. I really fell in love with running the mountain runs and am planning on two one in North Carolina and one in Oregon. I definitely won’t be doing 21 races like this year though, as I am retiring in June and moving to Asheville NC 🙂 Big changes for the new year are right around the corner. (sorry I haven’t been reading all your blog posts every week, I will get caught up and back on track. You bring such great information to the running community.
Thanks Victor! Congrats on the upcoming retirement. My hubby and I are huge Asheville fans, and we are actually considering moving there in the near future so I’ll keep you posted if we do. Good luck with your races in 2015. Thanks for your very kind words and support. xo
My goal for 2015 is to do all of the races I signed up for and missed in 2014 due to a ruptured peroneal tendon! The surgeon has released me so I am off and running slowly for now!
Oh no Kelly! I’m so sorry you have had to experience such a painful injury! I wish you a healthy 2015! xoxo
My goal for 2015 is to go sub 5 in a 70.3. It’ll be tough, require losing 10-15 lbs, and getting my run down under 1:50, but I’m optimistic.
Awesome goal Steve! I know you can do it!
Goals for 2015? Focus on racing locally and building more strength!
My goal is to get strong and have an injury-free year of running… hopefully with a (big) marathon PR in there!
Run my second marathon and complete my first triathlon
Half marathon in under 1:43 (would be new pr) and I think it’s time for another full marathon…
I know you have that half marathon PR in you Tricia! I look forward to running with you some in 2015 and helping you get there. I love that you are considering a marathon too! Happy holidays! xo
What an awesome giveaway!! I would love to win either one!! I qualified for Boston 2015 at NYC in 2013 (but only barely…no really…I finished in 3:33.42 and only made it into Boston by SIXTEEN SECONDS). So my fitness goal for 2015 is to run the Boston Marathon injury-free and the challenge will be getting proper and adequate training in. My job has changed significantly since I qualified in November 2013, so I hope that I am able to finish the race happy and healthy. Thanks for putting together such an awesome giveaway!
Congrats on your Boston qualifying time, Jessica!!! I’m excited for you to get to run next year. I only qualified for 2016 by 54 seconds this past October, so I really hope I’ll get in for 2016 (3:34:06). Based on the last 2 years and their cut-off times mine wouldn’t fly, but you never know. Best of luck with your training for April. xo
2015 is my year for the big TWENTY-SIX POINT TWO! 🙂
My goal is to run my first half marathon!
My goal for 2015 is to run my first marathon, and compete in an intermediate triathlon!
I have already signed up for four half marathons. I also would like to do two century’s, which is one more than last year. Finally, I am going to do my first tri, olympic length. All the half marathons will be done with my biggest motivator and best running partner. Not bad for a lady turning 44 tomorrow!
Sounds like you have an AMAZING 2015 on tap Robi! Happy early birthday and good luck with your training! Rock star! xo
I hope to run 1,000 miles in 2015!
Would love to win this giveaway to keep my momentum going!
My goal for 2015 is to run my first full marathon in the Fall. I also have smaller goals leading up to that of running at least two half marathons. I plan to get a 10K PR and a half marathon one!
My biggest goal for 2015 is to set a new half marathon PR. I also hope to complete my first full marathon, since a stress fracture knocked me out during my first attempt this year!
I had a baby earlier this year & fell off the wagon. My goal is to get back to running & also life this pregnancy weight!
My 2015 goal is to work on more strength training!
One of my goals for 2015 is to run marathon number2!
Also, I’d love to get s coaching certification… Any advice on this?
Hi Noelle! Good luck with marathon #2 next year! Exciting! I love that you’re interested in pursuing your coaching certification. I’ve written about my experience with the NAASFP certification. You can read more about it here, and if you have any specific questions feel free to email me at runladylike@gmail.com. Happy running! xo
To arrive at the Boston Marathon healthy and ready to PR!
sub 2 half is my 2015 goal. missed it just by 58 seconds due to a pulled groin ):
goal is to get healthy and injury free and stay that way for 2015!
To gain lean muscle, and run my first road race!
My goal for 2015 is to get back into running after I have my baby and run my second half marathon!
In 2015 I want to get faster and finish my upcoming 15k at a 10 min/mile pace.
I’m doing my first 70.3 in 2015. My goal is to really enjoy the entire race, but I’d also like to finish under 6 hours. 🙂
My goal is simple: run faster!
After four long months of PT post my first half marathon, I’m finally running again and am looking forward to running a second half in 2015. I feel better than I have in a long time and I hope to beat my previous half marathon time and have fun while I do it!
I’m honestly not sure about 2015. A disappointing fall marathon this year has left me a little bit directionless, but I’m mostly ok with it. Perhaps a sprint tri next year. 🙂
I hope I’m a winner!
My goal for 2015: Marathon PR, run a marathon in Canada — simply enjoy running!
My goal is to sign up for and run my first official race. I’ve been running for a while now, and I think it’s finally time to pull the trigger on a real race. I’ve even gotten my husband on board, so I think it’s a doable goal!
Yay for your first race Amy! So exciting! I hope you’ll keep me posted on which race you decide to do. Good luck! xoxo
After an incredibly difficult year, I know that running will be one of the main things I need to return to in order to recover…this lucky win would be such an incredible extra motivator!!
After running 10 marathons, I’m ready to check off my other bucket list item and that is to train and complete my first Ironman!
2015 is all about reaching new heights: with running, with blogging, and with life!
My 2015 goal is to run a 70.3 Ironman in sub 5-hours and qualify for the 70.3 World Championship. I know I can do it if I just put my mind to it!
My 2015 goal is to complete The Groundhog Day Marathon, a winter/snowy marathon in Michigan, in under 5 hours.
My goal for 2015 is to run a sub 1:40 half marathon and maybe train for another marathon if I’m feeling ambitious!
This year ahead is going to be my year for my first 1/2 Marathon. After pushing myself too hard and injuring myself in preparing for the Peachtree Thanksgiving 1/2, this MUST be my year. This is more than running a specific distance, or a race. Accomplishing this goal will define my year; I’m giving myself permission to invest in me, mentally, physically and emotionally. It will make me a better mom, wife and friend to all around me. Setting this goal, investing in myself and following through doing it right this time, means pacing myself and enjoying the wind in my hair 🙂
I’m so, so proud of your efforts this year and your mindset for the year ahead. This IS your time and you WILL accomplish this goal. I’d love to work with you to help you acheive this! Let’s plan to get together in January and discuss how I might be able to support you! Love ya lady! xoxo
My goal is to come back from ankle reconstruction surgery and just to slowly start running again — healthily. After tearing seemingly all the major tendons in my foot/ankle during this year’s Marine Corps Marathon, I just can’t wait to get back out there. I’ll be running Ragnar DC again with Team RWB and of course, I have to redeem myself at MCM 2015.
I’m so sorry to hear about your ankle/foot Kelly. That must have been incredibly painful. Wishing you a complete recovery and many healthy miles in the future. xoxo
My running goal is to have a sub-1:45 half marathon PR at the Fargo Half Marathon on May, 9, 2015! What a giveaway, wow!!!
Finish my first marathon! :O
In 2015 I want to run a 1:45 half marathon!
I would love to run 5 big runs this year! Maybe 3 half marathon s and 2 full marathons. Great giveaway!
Amazing prizes! My running goals this year are to PR my half marathon time and to take a racecation to Hawaii to visit my sister and run the Honolulu marathon.
My goals for 2015 include running injury free, a few halts, maybe a marathon, and 70.3!
