It’s a Running Garage Sale!
Is it just me or does everyone you know have some kind of weight loss goal for 2015? I decided to jump on the bandwagon by losing some weight … in all my closets and drawers. For the past 2 weeks, I’ve been eliminating the bulge by decluttering and reorganizing all my spaces. My running accessory drawer was high on that list.
As I was tossing out umpteen expired items I’ve received in race bags during the past few years that were lodged in the back of the drawer, I found a few things I’m parting with that I’d rather give to a happy home than toss. (Note: I have hardly used any of these items. The ones I have used have only been a handful of times).
What better way to “lose some of the weight” than by having a running garage sale! Except you don’t have to leave your house and all the items are free.
Be the first to leave a comment claiming which item you want, and I will mail it to you. Please note only one item per person and only one choice per person. You must live in the United States since I’m paying for the shipping. I will follow up with an email to the first person that responds on each item (total of 5 different items and 5 garage sale winners).
Happy running and rummaging.
A New Balance reflective vest for running in the early morning or evening hours
A SPI-Belt to carry fuel, keys, a phone and other odds and ends around your waist while you run
Tubes of Cherry Limeade and Watermelon Nuun (unopened), along with several temporary tattoos (note, the bottles say they expire at the end of April 2015)
A rubber Pace Band for a 1:45 half marathon goal (You can order your own custom Pace Bands here.)
A Mighty Bright book light to read all your issues of Runner’s World and other running books in the dark while your spouse or partner is sleeping
Where do you keep all your running accessories? What is the best running gift you received during the holidays that I need to add to my drawer?

I’d love the belt if it’s still available!
Thanks!
Steve, you are the winner of the SPI-Belt. Congrats on being the first to claim it. I will send you an email to get your address. xo
i would love the Nuun!
Also, I Always endorse purging belongings. We collect so much stuff and so much of it weighs us down without contributing to our quality of life at all.
Kate, Congrats on winning the Nuun. I will send you an email to confirm your address. Thanks for stopping by the garage sale 🙂
This is so generous! I’d love the SPI-Belt. 🙂
Hi Whitney! Thanks so much for your interest. The SPI-Belt has been claimed, but thanks for your kind words. Happy running! xoxoxo
Seconds dibs on the belt! Thank you!
Oops! 3rd dibs on the belt! If the vest is sized for women, I would love that! Thanks again!
I keep my stuff in a box in the kitchen, a drawer in my dresser, and a box in the closet – it is spread out everywhere and I need to get it all organized! I got some arm sleeves for Christmas – never used them before and am curious about how different they will feel as compared to just a long sleeve shirt. Now I just need the temps to warm up a bit!!
Hi Mary! You are the first to respond on the vest. I will send you an email to get your address info. Thanks for your interest! xo
Thank you so much!
ha! this a great weight loss goal.
Looks like I barely missed out! 🙂 Ah well. If Steve decides otherwise… keep me in mind. Thanks for posting. Love your blog.
Trying to get motivated for early morning running… Would love the reflective vest if it’s still available!
Hi Tracy! Thanks so much for your interest. Someone else snapped it up right before you, but gift yourself some new reflective gear to keep you waking up early. I really like Amphipod’s products. They have some great Y-shaped vests and blinking lights and a fun little visor light that attaches to the bill of your hat. Best of luck with your morning running. You’ve got this! xo
I’d love the book light! This is such a nice thought!
Congrats Lauren! You are the new owner of the book light. I will email you to get your mailing information. Thanks for your interest! xo
I don’t need any of these things, but this idea is so cute!
I’d love the reflective vest if it hasn’t been taken yet! Such a great giveaway – you’re inspiring me to clean out my drawers!
Hi Laura,
Unfortunately it has been snapped up, but thanks so much for reading and shopping 🙂 Happy running! xo
I don’t need anything but just wanted to comment on how sweet you are to do that. Awe! So nice! 🙂

aquaphor!!! and the hair things:)
Hi Nikki. The only things that I was giving away are the 5 items specified in the post. They have all been claimed. The picture of my running drawer are all of my things I’m keeping 🙂 I love aquaphor too. Happy running!
Such a great idea! I recently cleaned out my running clothing and donated a bunch. But I added something new to my to do list – cleaning out my box of random runner fuel in my kitchen cabinet. I have a feeling the bottom of said box may be a little scary. 🙂
I’d love any of the Nuun and reflective vests. Thanks
Hi Ashley! Thank you so much for your interest but they have both already been claimed. Wishing you a happy year of running ahead. xo
I love the idea of “weight lose” from closets and catch all places! I love the feeling that comes from eliminating clutter! Good work!
I love the idea of losing weight from closets and shelves! I also reorganized my running drawer and it feels so clean, refreshing, and motivating! Now just to sort through all my running shoes 🙂
Awesome to give it away instead of tossing it.
This is a brilliant idea! We should have a link-up with “one lady’s trash is another one’s treasure” type of thing.
We runners/fitness enthusiasts/bloggers definitely have a plethora of stuff. I do try to donate mine regularly but I still think this is a great idea!
What a good idea Jesica! Then you know it truly goes to people who want it, rather than people picking it up from goodwill just cause! How clever. I am sure they are all sold already 🙂 I should do something similar….rid my wardrobe of all that leftover nike….so my beloved Saucony can fully take over 😉
